Director Roy Dames follows Frank Masmeijer in the year after his release. He tries to unravel how it came about that the former presenter took the wrong turn and was convicted of cocaine smuggling. Is Masmeijer, as he himself maintains, judged purely on assumptions and above all a victim of the circumstances? Or was he always someone, as Dames is starting to suspect more and more emphatically, who moved in circles of people who don't take the rules so closely and who also has a hand in pushing the boundaries?
