Devious bon vivant Edmund Lamont continues to live the high life, despite being in debt up to his eyebrows. He begins courting wealthy socialite Mabel Wilton, persuading her to give him $100,000 to "invest" it for her. Meanwhile, her daughter Jeannie unexpectedly arrives from a private school, and when Lamont sees her, he promptly begins courting her as well. Inevitably, both women eventually find out about the deception, but still the infatuated Jeanne agrees to marry him.
