Al Dhakira al Khasba plot

Filmmaker Michel Khleifi paints the portrait of two women. Farah is an old widow who started working as a factory worker after her land was taken from her. With stubborn persistence, she refuses to accept the compensations from the Israelis. Sahar, on the other hand, belongs to the intellectuals. She is divorced and pays the price of loneliness for her independence - the right to write. Side by side with these two characters, who represent different generations and social environments, Khleifi outlines the situation of women in a broader sense.
