A Primeira Idade plot

On a remote island lives an autonomous group of children who only communicate with each other in sign language. They are led by the eldest of them and act like an agricultural commune with strict rules and beliefs. Adults are banished to the surrounding forests and every year the oldest villager is forced to jump off a sheer cliff, a ceremony that would grant the chosen one eternal youth. Their way of life is threatened when one adventurous child cannot resist the call of the forbidden forest.
