Yoon Young is 19 and lives with her single mother, who is deaf. While studying for an exam to become a civil servant, she has a part-time job in a cafe. One day, Young is brutally raped by a colleague of her mother's. When she threatens to do the same to her mother, Young beats him to death with a rock. She is convicted of manslaughter. In prison, Young has no name, but a number: 2037. There she finds out that she is pregnant…

After an intense start, the film fades into a not very interesting story about the solidarity of women who share a prison cell. The ending is rather rushed. Quite a shame, because with a little more depth this could have been a very appealing drama.
