Rite of the Shaman plot
Kai is a deaf and mute high school student who takes care of his mother. He finds solace in nature and in the memories of his deceased grandfather who was a shaman. While trying to cope with the pressures of life at home and the harassment of a school bully, Kai falls into a depression and begins to push away those he loves. Ultimately, he faces a decision. Will he continue on a dark path of negativity? Or, guided by his grandfather's wisdom, will Kai embrace his destiny and become the beacon of light he was meant to be?
