While the reboot Paranormal Activity: Next Of Kin was still in production, Bandelli spoke with all the key players in the franchise's success story. Naturally, most attention is paid to the long preliminary phase of Paranormal Activity, filmed in 2006 in Oren Peli's house for around $15,000, but after a lot of wrangling only premiered worldwide in 2009. The makers are honest about the varying quality of the sequels, so this is not a smooth promo. The editing leaves a lot to be desired and Bandelli could have put a little more effort into making the backgrounds look a bit more real.
