The Dutch Henk Rogers designs video games and is the first to acquire the distribution rights of Tetris. The game is gaining great popularity. In the 1980s, during the Cold War, Henk becomes involved in a fierce copyright battle.

A lot of fuss over a game. Everyone has played Tetris at least once and it is well put together. The acting is quite good and the first half of the film is quite good, entertaining but after that the film drags and there is more repetition. There could also have been more room for some humor and I think the Soviet Union could have come into the picture a bit more subtly. Nice to have seen once but there is no reason to watch this film a second time.

Nice film about a businessman who tries to obtain the rights to the computer game Tetris. An interesting and true story. The film itself is sometimes a bit monotonous despite the brisk pace. It could also have been made a little less superficial. Still fun to watch, but 3.5 stars would be just too much.

Fun, energetic mix of comedy and thriller about the Dutch game designer Henk Rogers (Taron Egerton), who becomes involved in the complicated battle for the copyright of the popular computer game Tetris in the 1980s. The plot is so bizarre that it must be true and Egerton and the rest of the cast throw themselves into the wacky but very entertaining script. Towards the end, things get a bit too silly, but until then this is an inventively designed and very infectiously played film.
