Aunt Mary plot
When a new professional baseball team comes to Baltimore, disabled woman Mary Dobkin is inspired to help the children in her neighborhood who have become involved in crime. Mary decides to start her own team and let the kids do something constructive. But because the team is made up of different races, many in the city disagree.
