Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been referred to as 'The Trump of the Tropics', the 'Cavalo', the uncontrollable horseman, the disruptive populist and even 'The Myth'. He is known for his anti-communist rhetoric, his provocative language about the Amazon, dictatorship, women, homosexuals and weapons, and he is famous for his illegible leadership. Yet as a political figure he is much more complex than the grotesque portrait that is made of him. Backed by the various conservative forces in the country, he is already preparing for the 2022 elections. And he has no doubts about the outcome.
