Omar and Pete are half brothers raised by their grandmother after their parents were killed by lions. When their grandmother dies, the boys are taken in by relatives of Pete's aunt. It soon becomes apparent that they don't like Omar. When Omar finds a letter from his grandmother, in which she writes about his biological father, he decides to visit him. Omar travels to the seaside town of Blackpool with Pete and their grandmother's ashes. The only clues they have is a birth certificate and an old photo of their mother with the man who could be Omar's father.
