Morgen Sind Wir Frei plot
In the summer of 1979, after the fall of the Shah in Iran, Beate leaves the GDR with her daughter and follows her husband Omid, who can return to his homeland after 16 years of exile. Beate must find her way in the unknown land, learn a new language and raise her daughter. The violent changes in the country soon overshadow her efforts to make the most of it.
