Solid horror film that does not follow the typical paths of the genre and has an original angle. The film seems a bit strange, but it still has a lot of positive points. Sometimes brutal and bloody combined with stylish shots and a beautiful music score. Lascia Ch'io Pianga remains beautiful and I'm not in love remains a classic. Admittedly, the story is not clear everywhere and some aspects remain underexposed. You can follow, but there are also questions left unanswered. You can also see quite a bit of nudity of the main character Mirta, who plays a convincing role. My first thought was that this was a vampire film, but the explanation of another living dead how to bite tells you that you are dealing with zombies. 6.5/10

Mediocre Netflix horror material that taps into the vampires subgenre, but tries to keep it as mysterious as possible. I'll put it between spoilers just to be safe, but it's not like the screenplay manages to hide this so subtly. The best part is probably the opening itself, which has something quirky about it. After that, the film leans heavily on the personal drama of Pagani, who is charming to a degree but doesn't have the acting chops for the complex character she plays. She also receives significantly little help from her fellow actors, who are limited by director De Sica to basic characters within the genre. The direction itself fails to make the film exciting, atmospheric or compelling. The fact that the good, dominant tone tries to be stubborn in the last half hour does not help either. The course of the film cannot be called boring, but it can be said that there is little creativity and passion in terms of execution. Normally a horror film is meant to excel at something, but Non Mi Uccidere unfortunately falls flat on almost every point.

Although I had never seen the franchise, I feared it would be a Twilight movie of sorts. This didn't seem to be the case to me. The film is somewhat in line with Bones and All (Film, 2022) with Chalamet. A touch of love is not missing here either, but the film has completely different accents.

Nice introduction to Alice Pagani who, in my opinion, was very good in her role. Nice appearance of a normal teenager too. Quite an atmospheric film with a reasonable plot. Atmospheric concerns the undead, but also in those small elements such as the rave or the cemetery.

Zombies or vampires, it's something in between. Not everything seems clear to me, but it doesn't always need to be explained. I did enjoy it. Nice!
