Asakusa Kid plot
In the 1960s, Kitano Takeshi drops out of school to start his life in the theater. He is fortunate to become the protégé of the famous Japanese entertainer Senzaburo Fukami. The comedy legend demands Takeshi to maintain the entertainer mentality at all times of the day. Both on stage and in everyday life. Together with other students, Takeshi gives shape to his dream. Though the theater's popularity is dwindling due to television, Takeshi continues to spend his youthful days at the side of his mentor.
