The first half is still quite boring because director Calvin Morie McCarthy seems to make a sincere effort to create a menacing atmosphere, but once the last half hour arrives it is old-fashioned time-watching again. The acting is of course substandard and the characters have no interesting qualities, so all the drama that comes with the whole obviously has little effect. It is that there is sometimes some tinkering with computer effects and tension building, otherwise this umpteenth work in the series would have been an even greater struggle to get through.
