Former gunfighter Colton Briggs now owns a shop and lives a quiet life with his family. When a group of bandits kill his wife in cold blood, he is forced to take up arms again. He vows revenge with his twelve-year-old daughter.

If you don't take it too seriously, it's quite a fun movie. Although the story is simple, I still enjoyed it. A revenge film with an occasional touch of humor. Cage may not be the best actor, but in the movie The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent he showed that he doesn't take it all that seriously and has thus (with me) regained some sympathy. All in all, quite an entertaining film. A small enough.

Nice film about an old gunfighter who is out for revenge with his daughter. A simple plot for this western, but there is enough progress in it. Moreover, the interaction between father and daughter is entertainingly worked out (Nicolas Cage and the young Ryan Kiera Armstrong also know how to bring it fun).

Judging by her age (13) in combination with her performance, Ryan Kiera Armstrong gets an Oscar from me for her role in this film. And those are the only two stars this movie gets from me. Old Henry (2021) at least still had the atmosphere of the Wild West era. In that respect, there is little 'Old Way' to discover in this film with the retired Cage. Mediocre plot, mediocre cast, fake setting and the dialogues of the Marshal; how do you make it up.
