A Dog's Best Friend plot

A young orphan named Pip Wheeler firmly rejects his foster parents Wesley and Millie Thurman. Instead, he turns to a German Shepherd whose owner was recently murdered. When Pip finds evidence pointing to the culprit, things become dangerous for him. However, the dog takes care of the boy and protects him.
