Psychological thriller about a successful woman who deviously leads a double life. A film with a bizarre story, closed with an unsatisfactory ending. On the one hand, the film manages to create tension at a number of moments, but on the other hand it raises more questions than it answers. It's amazing how the Belgian diva Virginie Efira (Benedetta) gives shape to her double personality flawlessly.

An enigmatic mystery thriller with Virignie Efira, that's what I expected from Madeleine Collins. Nothing more nothing less. The opening scene, with all kinds of changing rooms combines in a luxury store, gave me the best idea. But alas, Madeleine Collins' denouement turns out to be an emo snivel fest. This is one of those movies where all the characters mean good. They will not easily indulge in gratuitous manipulation. It's a movie where we see fathers genuinely concerned about their offspring; a bit unseemly, isn't it? A manifest lack of bad faith, this film.
The sudden burst of hysteria at the end is welcome, but grossly too late. Ideally, some kind of professor-type with a tweed jacket in an epilogue would have come to explain the pathology of Judith / Margot / Madeleine to us. "Dissociative Personality Disorder..." Or possibly there could have been some sort of scene where Melvil dresses up as Judith, tricks Abdel, and then stabs him. After all, including all kinds of references to Hitchcock creates expectations. Oh, I digress. Very good actress, that Efira!

Intriguing movie. Not a very strong movie though. I could appreciate the chosen storyline with the matching plot twists. The storytelling pace is calm with also calm cinematography. The tension is built up slowly and is mainly psychological. All very unlikely; but it could be exciting.
Good music and solid acting (not across the board). All in all, a pleasant seat. The end of the movie is the beginning of the movie. This leaves some question marks and is not completely satisfactory. Three stars.
