Mionga ki Ôbo plot

Angolares are the oldest inhabitants of the island of São Tomé. Control of the island was taken from them in the late 1800s and their descendants have been reduced to a small fishing community. This film explores the complex history of the Angolares and their beautiful island.

Sao Tome & Principe, a group of islands along the coast of western Africa in the Atlantic Ocean. A documentary about the indigenous population, about their daily activities and activities. Agriculture and fishing mainly. An island that belonged to Portugal as a colony at the time and still has many influences from there. An island that, like so many of those islands, is very dependent on imports and the ships that bring supplies.

Not a great documentary, but a good introduction.
