Crack: Cocaine, Corruption & Conspiracy plot
In the early 1980s, the crack epidemic tore up America's inner cities like a tsunami, destroying everything in its wake. Decades later, the destructive effects on the lives of people, families and communities are still felt intensely. Crack: Cocaine, Corruption & Conspiracy explores not only the devastation of the drug on an individual level, but also the dark origins of the crisis and the resulting ongoing marginalization of dark-skinned people incarcerated in American prisons and health care systems.

In the early 1980s, President Reagan launched a "war against crack" that was escalated by his successors Bush and Clinton. This documentary exposes the hypocrisy of this policy by examining the causes of the crack epidemic and tracing the flow of money. This revealing and compelling documentary also makes clear how the American police gained so much power and that the war on drugs was, in fact, a war against Black people in poor neighborhoods.
