Cheap trifle, but one that is entertaining enough to watch. Especially the simplism from director Patrick Rea has a refreshing effect, which makes I Am Lisa concern itself as little as possible with all kinds of unnecessary side issues and delaying effects. It always remains nice and straightforward, although the budgetary restrictions do start to weigh after a while. Especially the make-up effects and the lack of atmosphere/tension are minus points that Rea cannot match, despite the fact that Kristen Vaganos continues to do her best to make something of her main character in compensation. With a little less drama and more pace, the film could possibly have achieved a pass, because Rea certainly shows potential in several areas.
