Pornphobic violinist Lucy goes on a crusade to sex shops, seminars and strip clubs to get in touch with her wild sexual side. Ah. Sounds nice. However, the effect is very sterile and not funny at all.
Lucy lives in a big house, which always looks pico bello. She can apparently afford that spacious accommodation with a sporadic musical performance at a wedding. Lucy always looks pico bello herself. Like a perfect barbie doll. Everyone in the movie actually always looks pico bello. So is the world in which Lucy lives. It is also very pico bello. Lucy lives in a dream world where there are at most very small blemishes that can get in the way of life's happiness. Never very drastic. Never deeply dramatic. Nothing that the viewer could find disturbing.
The world is a fairytale world. The characters living there are not realistic creatures. They are spiritually sterilized. It is hopeless to want to create funny situations in such a world. In such a deliciously sweet world inhabited by plastic characters, humor immediately kills. Humor has no right to exist. Then don't try it!
The film tells a sterile fairy tale without drama and tension. A humorless fairy tale. Logically. After all, a successful joke never grows on sterile soil. Lucy's funny experiences are predictable and are developed very superficially and prudishly. The result is a film full of tame slapstick, lifeless dialogues and restrained (and anything but comically refined) escapades. Very cringeworthy and very unpleasant.
The only positive point is the performance of Lucy Hale. I think she has some sense of comedic timing. That talent occasionally seeps through in this sterile film. Another film with better material will probably do more justice to her comedic talent.
Furthermore, the film is just very humorless and very bad.

A mediocre comedy starring Lucy Hale. Her own first name was also used for her character in The Hating Game. Actress Shiva Kalaiselvan made her acting debut with this film.
This film seems to be made more for frustrated women, who don't dare to tell their partner exactly what they are looking for in bed. The tips regarding sex are sometimes a bit exaggerated, and I missed the chemistry between Hale and Leonidas Gulaptis.
