Mediocre film about a girl who goes in search of her suddenly missing mother. A light-hearted mystery about Sherlock Holmes' young sister. Despite the fast pace and also smooth editing, the quest quickly becomes monotonous and the plot itself simply does not captivate the entire playing time. Millie Bobby Brown knows how to play the title role.

Fresh film, but also on the long side. The whole middle part is sometimes a bit of a repetition and scenes are too long, which means that any momentum is lost. It also looks nice, although it also feels more like dressing up than being really in that era. The story is well told, but it never really caught my attention. Milly Bobby Brown is good in her role if she can be enthusiastic and smooth, but on an emotional level she manages to break less pots. The rest of the cast is okay and Cavill is a discovery like Sherlock himself. 2.5*.
