Soof 3 plot

Soof finally has her life on track. She is happy, the Kooksoof is running fine and the kids are big and ready to fly. As usual, Soof keeps all the balls in the air, for everyone. The moment she receives bad news, Sascha comes home and proposes to her fiancé. Soof seizes her daughter's marriage with both hands to bury her head in the sand. Soof must learn to admit help herself, because she is worthy of that help and her family loves her.

Definitely a gem. Joy, sadness and certainly humor are fused together in this great film.

The son of Soof and Kasper who keeps vlogging was very annoying I found myself. And the role of Dan Karaty didn't add much as far as I'm concerned. Jim did (partially) ensure that Soof's family was aware of her illness, but as far as I'm concerned, that's about it.

A beautiful conclusion to the Soof series. By far the best of all three in my opinion.

Where I am normally as woke as what, the hipster stuff of the Soof series immediately gives me bumps. And this part is even worse than the previous one, it all apparently needs more. If it still seemed a little authentic, but no - maybe that's the problem. The babboe cargo bike mentality is also much too obvious, and the fact that the tone is more serious this time only makes it worse - yet another series of life problems that the target group has to familiarize themselves with, due to a lack of empathy of their own.

Visschedijk herself is still charming in the distance, when she is not busy with her cargo bike business. The rest of the characters that populate her world are all just annoying. Meh.

Part 1 was fine, part 2 not so much. Nevertheless, I am curious about this, and indeed: fine film. Clearly more drama than the light-hearted earlier parts, but I think that's good this time. An important subject that is tackled very realistically, where the actors also do their job well. Well-written dialogues and many recognizable emotions (also in that part with Schaap and Van Huêt at the mirror, although Schaap also has a somewhat ungrateful role). Not every piece is equally good and certainly towards the end the film goes on a bit too long because the climax has actually already been. And the film then ends a bit crazy with such a Bollywood dance (despite the boy, it doesn't quite fit the film). 3.5*
