Marokkaanse Bruiloft plot

Yasmine has only one dream: to become a successful lawyer. She works hard for it, but her environment is concerned about her single status. You are more likely to catch a man with a cookbook than with a law book. Encouraged by her friends, Yasmine forces herself to be open to love and then suddenly she finds not one, but even two nice men on her path. As one wedding after another is celebrated in her area, Yasmine's doubts grow. Where the successful doctor is getting more and more on her nerves, the tough mechanic is suddenly her client in court. How can she be sure she's making the right choice?

Since De Beentjes van Sint-Hildegard we know that Johan Nijenhuis is quite a fine director, provided he gets a decent script. So somehow a bit of hope with this film now that this too is set in a slightly different culture and environment than its usual habitat. Too bad this Moroccan Wedding is again a mishmash of many other shit from him with a touch of Meskina. Always the same characters, this time Moroccans and always the same storylines and bad humor full of clichés and really nothing special to see. Soon the film loses its interest, the acting is very mediocre (as if they just read their lyrics without any feeling) and then this thing also has to last more than two hours. Why? 1.0*.

Choke of clichés again in this umpteenth romcom. Quite fun actually, you can also make a game out of it: Find The Cliché or Guess The Cliché... Isn't that difficult here, by the way. An example: a woman (it's always a woman) feels lonely, cheated, abandoned or whatever ... walks down a street very sadly and then looks into one of the houses where there is always a happy family, happy people having a cozy meal by candlelight, children opening presents, a couple making love... There is also one in Spetters (Fientje, Renée Soutendijk), but the most famous one is in Fatal Attraction: Glenn Close I even have to throw up haha...

Another cliché that passed by: a woman (almost always a woman here) drives her car, turns on the music loudly and then starts singing along at the top of her lungs, hitting the steering wheel hard with her hands. The Silence of the Lambs!

The ending just comes from Grease, them taking off in that hot air balloon.. "Bye everyone, bye!"

How do you destroy everything and make every actor look like an idiot... Little c-director and mechanic... the same story could have been filmed 100x better with a real director

I wrote that after 1 hour of watching... So bad... but the last 45 minutes are just a little bit better.... Quite nice...
