In October 1974, The Grateful Dead (temporarily) stopped giving concerts. From October 16 to 20 they gave 5 concerts which they called "The Last One". In The Grateful Dead Movie we see how the band members and the audience dealt with that stop. Concert footage is interspersed with interviews and an animated opening scene developed especially for this documentary by Gary Gutierrez.
