Dreigroschenfilm plot
Berlin, late 1920s. Against all odds, Bertolt Brecht's "The Threepenny Opera" becomes a great success. The film industry wants Brecht to make a movie version of it. However, Brecht refuses to play by their rules. While the studio wants to censor the "filth" and pull the strings to cash in on the success, the author wants nothing less than to create a completely new kind of film.
