An energetic but utterly infantile animated film that leaves you wondering how adults manage to come up with this kind of nonsense. In certain ways, Rumble certainly serves as a critique of society, but the intrusive humor and banal fight scenes frequently distract you from that. Virtually everyone, both protagonist and antagonist, is portrayed as an idiot. You will have to search endlessly for subtlety, and although that could pass as a stylistic choice, in Rumble it feels more like a deliberate distraction from the negative angles. It undoubtedly entertains due to its fast pace and the younger target audience will feast on it, but adult viewers would be better off avoiding it.
