The Cleansing plot
Alice, 16, lives with her mother in a village in 14th century Wales. One day she is accused by the church of worshiping the devil and being a witch. Investigation follows by Pastor Tom to see if she really is one. She is said to have caused the plague in the village, the disease that has cost the lives of many, including her own father. Thanks to Marie, a friend of her mother, she can escape and flee into the woods. There she finds a healer who tends to her wounds and teaches her how to take revenge on the villagers.
