****Lingo, lingo! Bottles?****

Gripping and heartbreaking Turkish drama film about the unjust imprisonment of a mentally disabled man. Based on the South Korean movie 'Miracle in cell No. 7' from 2013. Cinematography: beautiful images of Turkish nature and village life. Scenes: outdoor scenes at grandma's house, indoor scenes at home and in prison. Music: alternating Eastern and Western sounding music, well suited to the film. Cast: Lead Aras Bulut Lynemli plays an impressive and believable role as the mentally challenged Memo and Nisa Sophiya Aksongur touchingly plays his 6-year-old daughter Ova. Supporting roles well played. Plot: Memo is a mentally retarded man who lives with his grandma with his 6-year-old daughter. Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, Memo is accused of murdering Seda, the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Aydin. He ends up in prison cell number 7, along with several other inmates. Memo teaches them to look at their lives differently.......

Summary: the original South Korean 7-Beon-bang-Ui Seon-Mul (2013) is a comedy/drama, but the Turkish version is hardly comical...... The images of forced confession are horrifying, heartbreaking when Memo is not allowed to see his daughter and touching how Memo always remains positive. The Turkish army is portrayed in this film as very bad and Lieutenant Colonel Aydin is a criminal. I regularly felt tears burning in my eyes. In the end, good triumphs in man, the film has an open ending.......

Message: the film is about loyalty, unconditional love, empathy, compassion and self-sacrifice. Even criminals are people and you shouldn't treat them like 'dogs'! Conclusion: a shining pearl of a film, unique in its genre.....

I rarely write a review, but WOW is the only word you can say if you have to sum up this movie in one word. This film really has to win the Oscar next year (is that even possible since it's from 2019?), that's almost inevitable.

This film really grabs you from the first moment and doesn't let go, not normal. The acting, plot, music, visuals are all fantastic. Grab the handkerchiefs, some scenes really go to the bone with different emotions that follow each other in quick succession.

Beautiful images of Turkish nature and village life are beautifully portrayed in combination with the beautiful music. The scenes in the prison are very moving. First Memo is looked at with the neck because he would have killed a child, then it turns out that he could not have done this because of his very innocent and sweet character. Memo is a mentally handicapped boy and is played by Aras Bulut lynemli, who plays this role very impressively. You would almost really believe it. His daughter Ova, played by Nisa Sophiya Aksongur, is also very beautiful and believable. Pretty bizarre that such a young girl can act so well.

For the rest I don't want to say much more about the plot of the film because that is a shame. All I can say is watch this movie.....
