In August 1969, nearly half a million people gathered on a farm outside New York to listen to music. But it wasn't just any music festival, Woodstock grew into a legendary event that would mark the end of a turbulent decade. The festival took place at a time when the nation was struggling with sexual liberation, civil rights and the Vietnam War and was a symbol of the new America. This documentary points the camera at the audience with the following questions: who were these young people? What brought them there and how did these three days change their lives?
