A dark and somber drama about a young man who, through his neighbor, becomes involved in the drug world. The film effectively depicts the often-perfect world of such an environment, and it's not exactly rosy. The story moves rather slowly and has some dull moments here and there, but overall it's quite enjoyable. The cast is also quite good.

Hmm, this one was a bit disappointing. The film started off well, but the story just dragged on and couldn't really hold my attention for the entire duration. However, the cast certainly didn't do a bad job. I watched it all the way through, but I don't need to watch it again.

Not exactly a cheerful film, but it does have a message. And it occurs to me that this story should be required viewing for all those people so quick to judge everything and everyone who doesn't exactly fit their agenda. Learn how little it takes—and also watch the film I saw yesterday, about how hard most people try to keep their heads above water, to pull themselves out of the water: Mobile Homes (2017), also starring Imogen Poots. And no, "law and order" isn't the solution; we've known that for a long time. A bit more social behavior is.

With that introduction out of the way, the cast is excellent, and Alex Wolff, in particular, is convincing. Apparently, Neve Campbell was in it too, though I didn't notice. The visuals are suitably gray and dark, not a hint of cheerfulness to be found, just like the dark soundtrack.
