Today's 'Black lives matter' demonstrations make this a painfully topical film. If you're treated by a police officer like the protagonists in this movie, I can well imagine shooting a guy like that. The film is exciting, gripping and well acted. Funny to see Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers in a supporting role. One of the best movies I've seen so far this year.

Too long and a bit too relaxed in tempo, but other than that this is an entertaining and intelligently developed road movie, a contemporary variation on Thelma & Louise. The two lead actors are excellent and the film has a great supporting cast. Visually it's all fine too. Strong dialogues and striking emotional moments, which present themselves at unexpected moments. Slowly but surely the film works towards an impressive but nicely kept climax.

Strong film that is completely in line with the Black Live Matters movement and that denounces police brutality against blacks. The poignant thing about the whole movie is that this is simply bitter reality. It's a kind of mentality that's so ingrained in police structures. Racism yes, but also mostly conditioned fear and ignorance. "First shoot and then talk" and that from an unequal balance of power that is politely arrogantly emphasized...

Not only a strong film because of the subject, but I also liked the elaboration of the story. No wild chases or shootings, a little manhunt... It then shifts the focus to the duo themselves. Their fears and the drama then come out better and that benefits the film.

Yes, the (white) policeman gets off sick. Fortunately, the director tried to make some nuances with less prejudiced whites (the sheriff or the welcoming couple) or with less sympathetic blacks (the boy or the man who arranged the plane ). Yet another striking ending in which both did not survive. Explain to me how dangerous someone is when he carries someone with both hands. By the way, if you really want to shoot, there is also the option to aim at an arm or leg ...
