Okay, fair's fair. The concept is well thought out and the execution too... But it's too long-winded... even series look even better than this movie... It's not shit though... just boring

I have the impression that many people have been brainwashed by Hollywood and therefore expect a film with flashy images, realistic CGI, a story that we understand (or at least try to explain), a happy ending,... but no, none of that and so awaits the disappointment that doesn't have to be there if you don't conform to the imposed standard of a 90-minute movie.

I admit, Poots and Eisenberg are a bit miscast and attract an audience that Hollywood films are used to, but give the roles to unknown actors and the film becomes a cult film.

Reminds me of Solaris, Den brysomme men, Funny games and Stalker.

Special film, with an original story and atmosphere, but also quite minimalistic and at times even a bit on the boring side. The intro about the cuckoo already gives a reasonable insight into what the film is about, because it is clear that Eisenberg and Poots serve as a kind of substitute parents for a kind of changeling, as can also be seen from the strange behavior and especially the imitation behavior of the child. The whole film also feels kafkaesque, in an endless world of empty vinex houses and strange happenings. But as intriguing as the idea is, at some point it became more and more of the same. It feels a bit like a half-hour, 45-minute Black Mirror or Twilight Zone episode stretched out longer than it should be.
