Aruna & Lidahnya plot
Aruna is in her mid-thirties, happy and a proud bachelor. She is an epidemiologist, but her real passion is food. When she has to investigate bird flu cases in several cities in the Indonesian archipelago, she takes her two best friends to dinner with her: the quirky US-trained chef Bono and the impossible writer Nadezhda. Insights into food, local history, religion and Indonesian politics are gained. They discover more than despised while traveling through cities like Surabaya, Pamekasan (Madura), Pontianak and Sing-kawang. During her journey, Aruna happens to meet her longtime love, Farish, which makes her feel a bit strange.
