Alexander lives in Lyon with his wife and children. One day he discovers that the priest who abused him is still working with children. He decides to take action, especially against the system surrounding the abuse, and soon finds support from two of the priest's other victims, François and Emmanuel. They want to break the "wall of silence" that hangs over their suffering. The consequences of their action will leave no one unscathed.

Strong and comprehensive explanation of the charge of pedophilia and its non-sanctioning within the Church. Based on true events.
If the first reaction, after 25 years, comes from a man who mainly opposes the continued contact with children by a priest who at the time abused him, as a boy, then the views and motivations of the others go further: from apologies and punishment of individuals to the explicit disgrace of the entire Church, including the leader.
Beautiful and extremely natural scenes are those of the gatherings of the families involved, where tempering of extreme feelings of revenge sometimes proves necessary, which provides a little relaxation in this weighty fact.
Ozone, by the way, keeps it serene and discreet, yet heartbreaking and heavenly. The flashback scenes are correct and sensational.
A movie to watch.

It fascinated me, although you have to like films that are heavily loaded with dialogue. The film follows three men who have been abused in their youth by a pedophile priest during scouting holidays. Alexandre gets the ball rolling and takes no satisfaction from a church-organized reconciliation. The second, François, doesn't want to get old cows out of the ditch anymore, but then sets up an action group when he learns that the priest is still in contact with children. The third, Emmanuel, has been the most abused and suffers from seizures and claims to have had a difficult sexual development . Due to their initiative, more and more testimonials are coming to the surface, which takes the abuse to a higher level. The church, which has always downplayed the facts, is also in the crosshairs. But will they manage to get justice after all, knowing that the facts may be time-barred?
You could ask: why start a lawsuit thirty years later? I often hear that from acquaintances in such lawsuits, but the film rightly puts its finger on the wound; the feeling of being alone with one's own shame and pain creates an attitude of powerlessness and inertia. When Emmanuel announces his relief to François that the matter is being handled in a solidarity manner, you understand the silence in which they have lived for years.
A good film, but a bit of a tough one, especially in the first half hour. I wouldn't recommend this to people who have trouble listening to dialogue for two hours. Based on real facts.

The true story of the French priest Bernard Preynat who abused children for years. Whereupon the church did nothing and the whole matter was kept silent. Not an isolated case, but this case caused quite a stir in the media because of the role of Cardinal Barbarin and the Vatican. In Belgium there was a similar case involving Bishop Roger Vangheluwe. But there are so many more similar cases.
The film does not seek the thrill or just the horror of the facts. But all attention to the victims. To show how they have suffered from this, why it is difficult to talk about it, how different the victims are, and how important it is for them to get justice, even though most cases have now expired (according to justice ).
A film that wants to avoid the sensation quickly falls back on the narrative. But by giving the victims their time and presenting the facts clearly, the film makes the necessary impression. It hasn't turned out to be a great film that will shine visually or win acting awards, but I think it's an important film. A story that must be told with due respect. In which the victims are central and not the perpetrators. A nuanced picture in which the Church is not necessarily portrayed badly, but the pedophile priests and the role of many high-ranking figures within that Church is. A difference between religion and faith, although the facts strongly shake that faith and give up faith for many in that Church.
