I didn't know this film, but it soon started to ring a bell. A female variation on the film What Women Want. It turned out to be a nice movie. The cast did well and the film looked great. The story was not boring, although the ending was of course predictable.
The original was more fun, but this one was also worth watching.

An insufferable, drawn-out and above all soulless affair by director Adam Shankman, who probably hoped above all to get a quick payday with What Men Want. He is therefore mainly the translator of a team consisting of 3 screenwriters, none of whom can place even an ounce of successful humor in the whole. The scenes are glued together through the character of Taraji P. Henson, who does not act badly but mainly plays a completely retarded character. Her reversal in moralistic progress comes out of nowhere, and what's more, things are made even more difficult for her by a barrage of annoying side characters. Tracy Morgan certainly makes an irritating contribution, but Erykah Badu's role also makes absolutely no sense. The imaginative concept lends itself to some nice scenes and Aldis Hodge and Josh Brener do a good job, but 117 minutes of this kind of nonsense is a job you have to want to get into.
