Ravished Armenia plot

Aurora Mardiganian, a young and beautiful Armenian girl, lives with her parents in the Turkish city of Havpoul. Her father wants to send her to the West for her education. Due to increased tensions between Turkey and Armenia, the Turks decide that all Armenians must move south into the desert. The Turkish governor goes to Aurora's father and demands her as a bride. The father refuses to give up his Christian daughter to a Muslim man. The governor leaves furious, after which the exodus of the Armenians is set in motion. Families are being separated. A tough journey awaits them, but Aurora manages to escape.
