"Success Makes You A Target"
During a harsh New Jersey winter, millionaire construction magnate Ben Aronoff suddenly moves to Miami Beach with his wife Katherine and children. He leaves behind his profitable business, a beautiful collection of antique cars and his house, desperate for a fresh start. He immediately falls in love with speedboat racing. Aronow wants to build the perfect speedboat and become a champion. His first business becomes a huge success and soon he earns more than he can spend. His boats, racing exploits and conviviality make him famous. He sells boats to everyone from The Beatles to George HW Bush. But soon he becomes involved in a money laundering investigation. As the walls close around him, Aronow realizes that an impending subpoena may be the only thing that could save his life.

Based on the life of Donald Aronow, this crime thriller stars John Travolta as Ben Aronoff, a businessman whose career takes a new turn after he plunges into the world of speedboats. Ben wins competition after competition with his self-designed boats. When mobster Meyer Lansky [James Remar] offers him a hefty sum of money for laundering stolen money, he is instantly rich. But those who get involved with gangsters will get into trouble someday. Travolta doesn't age in 25 years - he always looks old - and Scurfield fails to breathe life into what could have been an entertaining crime movie. Unfortunately, the result is downright boring.

Speed Kills is a film with a story that gives you as a viewer a glimpse into the world of apparent success.
