The Perrin Industries board has already made some savings to keep the company going at the expense of the workers. However, they now decide to close the factory. The film starts with a saying: "Those who fight can sometimes lose the fight. Those who don't fight are lost in advance."
However, "En Guerre" puts forward another and more profound thought: How stupid and small is the person who eagerly supports a champion of all interests and then, when things go wrong, mercilessly kills him. The fact that this man is completely innocent of the bad outcome plays no role in this.
After "La Loi du Marché", Stéphane Brizé (that man has only charmed me with his films so far) presents another social, political and, above all, human film that fascinates and moves (the scene with the boreal is beautifully shot ).
He can count on the great class of another stunning Vincent Lindon, an actor who is certainly among the top of the French film world.
