Profit & Nothing But! Or Impolite Thoughts on the Class Struggle plot

It is widely claimed that capitalism has triumphed. The capitalist economic system is going around the globe in a triumphant rush. But is the joy justified? In search of an answer to that question, director Raoul Peck took a trip to his native Haiti. There is little to celebrate. Misery is the status quo of most Haitians. There is a gaping disparity between a majority who have nothing and a small group of wealthy. Peck confronts the viewer with the question whether that is where the victory lies. He exposes multiple weaknesses of capitalism by combining economic analyzes and propositions with images of life in the fishing village of Port-à-Piment.
