Ni Juge, Ni Soumise plot
"It's Not Cinema, It's Worse"
The daily activities of the Brussels investigating judge Anne Gruwez include interrogating suspects, visiting crime scenes and conducting DNA research in collaboration with police detectives. This film records without interviews, commentary or added music what is happening in her office and beyond. The content of the conversations is extraordinary; sometimes hilarious when she amusedly and curiously asks a prostitute about the bizarre wishes of customers, and sometimes disconcerting when she hears the account of a woman who brutally murdered her eight-year-old son, apparently unmoved. Sometimes the truth turns out to be many times more shocking than fiction.
