The Eindhoven artist and musician Dick Verdult has been active for decades. He is seen as an outsider and as the 'last Dadaist', but the madness in his work appears to be highly controlled and primarily inspired by personal experiences in his youth as a Philips child in Latin America. Rather than seeing globalism as a problem, Verdult is a contented transcultural mutant. We see how, now at the age of 60, he is a cult musician in South America, Russia and Japan and is receiving increasing international attention as a visual artist. The documentary examines Verdult's multidisciplinary, international art practice. We see Verdult at work in his studios in Bergeijk and Calanda (Spain) and during a tour to Peru, Colombia and Argentina.
