De Stelling van Foreest, een Schaakfamilie plot
The six children Van Foreest are exceptionally talented chess players, well trained and active in the professional chess world from a young age. Their parents feel that the regular primary school does not offer the children enough to allow their talent to blossom. They provide homeschooling and the freed up time is used for serious chess training. Their approach has already yielded the necessary results. Jorden (1999), the oldest, became the youngest Dutch-born chess grandmaster at the age of sixteen. His younger brother Lucas (2001) is on his tail. Youngest and only daughter Machteld (2007) seems to be following in the footsteps of her big brothers. At the age of six she became Dutch champion in the category 'girls under ten' and she is perhaps the greatest talent in the family.
