Fox and Wild Boar sit in the woods and watch in fascination as a mayfly hatches, so fascinated that they almost forget that an unpleasant duty now awaits them: They must tell the fly that it has only one day to live. The bad news is especially hard for the two to tell, as they find the fly very charming and enchanting. But then they get an idea.
