The Analogues - Sgt. Pepper 50 Jaar Later plot

June 1, 2017 will mark the 50th anniversary of the legendary Beatles album 'Sgt. Peppers's Lonely Hearts Club Band' appeared. The music was conceived by The Beatles in the studio and recorded with many innovative techniques, but was never played live - too complicated. Yet this is now happening, 50 years later, by the Dutch musicians of the band The Analogues. Director Marcel de Vré shows in this documentary how the musicians of The Analogues approach the Beatles' oeuvre as if it were classical music: with attention to musical details and an extensive line-up on stage. In their search for the perfect sound, they come to the essence of The Beatles' creativity. Will they be able to match the magnificent album on the live stage?
