Eva, Kat and Roger are good friends who have known each other since their student days in Barcelona. Separated from each other, they look back with nostalgia at the small family they formed. Eva and Kat's carefree existence on their boat on London's Regent's Canal is turned upside down when Eva offers her lover an ultimatum: at 38 she wants to fulfill her wish to have children.
