Geroite na Shipka plot
The 1876 uprising in Bulgaria was brutally crushed by the Ottoman Empire. The Bulgarians hope that Russia will help them free them from the Turks. After deliberating at the court of Tsar Alexander, Russia declares war on the Ottoman Empire. This culminates in the Battle of Shipka, where Bulgarians and Russians fight side by side.
