Despite the somewhat dark and mysterious atmosphere that hangs over the film, the film is first and foremost just a film that tells a dramatic story. The fact that the film dives a bit into the sci-fi side is a nice side effect, but this element is certainly not the main part of the film. It is a film about the (lived) life of several characters. About failures and disappointments. About guilt and punishment. About good and bad memories.

Sounds interesting, but it isn't. The experiences and memories that emerge are fragmentary and say little. They therefore belong to characters who hardly undergo any psychological development in the film. The characters are just as fragmentary as the fragments from their lives that delight the viewer. Logically, the memories shown do not come to life either. Jumpy, viscous and emotionless, they pass before the looking eye.

Slow movie. Little dynamics in the scenes. The slowness with which things pass may imply some depth in the storyline, but that is deceiving. It's all not much. Due to the lack of depth, the slowness is very disturbing and is bad for concentration.

Love the acting level. That Dinklage with his melancholy look is quite acceptable as a character. Because his design as a character is rather superficial, his dramatic potential is not fully realized. The same goes for the other characters. And for the story, of course. Far too little intensity and low.

'Rememory' is therefore nothing more than a flat drama with a mysterious edge and sci-fi touches. Not very exciting.

Reasonable film about a scientist who invents a machine that can visually bring back memories. A well-functioning mix of drama, thriller and science fiction. The plot unfolds slowly but steadily. However, because the plot prevails, the possibilities of the invention remain somewhat superficial.

Despite the title, I don't really remember anything about this movie. Not even the smallest detail. Outside the participation of Anton Yelchin
