"Catch her if you can."

Ike, a columnist, hears the story of Maggie Carpenter, a woman who always abandons her grooms at the last minute. Ike writes a hurtful piece about the woman without doing proper research. Ike is fired because of this, and decides to write a thorough article about Maggie's upcoming wedding. However, she obviously doesn't think much of Ike.

Too bad. I really liked the chemistry between Gere and Roberts in Pretty Woman, but I don't like it at all in this movie. I also find the story quite boring. And I'm a big fan of these kinds of movies. Unfortunately, this one didn't appeal to me.

I saw this one years ago before I first saw Pretty Woman; I don't think I had even heard of that movie. The first thing that came to mind was that Gere looked very gray to Roberts. Later I understood that if you've seen Pretty Woman, it must be a little easier to see why they fit together; after all, there is a precedent.

Pretty Woman, which I reviewed on the same day as Runaway Bride, is considered by many here to be the better movie and I agree, but so great As many viewers experience it, I did not find the difference again. Runaway Bride is a lot less believable, but has moments that I found a lot funnier than the best moments from Pretty Woman like the groomsman who gets carried away like Roberts ' character tries to run away.

What's unlikely, of course, is primarily Roberts' character, who of course should be in therapy, but apparently Gere has to come in handy for that. It's nice that she's tech savvy and pretty independent, which makes it strange that she eventually falls for Geres' character, who is quite a male chauvinist pig. And then, having just discovered each other, and aware of her marriage phobia, they decide to get married two days later!

Of course, like Pretty Woman, this is a fairy tale, but the film manages to make it seem more believable. The film may score slightly better in terms of humor (but also not a thigh-beater), in the end I end up with a half less than Pretty Woman. 1.5*.

Well Julia Roberts then it becomes less, I rarely discover chemistry in her as well as credibility.... The ending surprising, the credits faint, the depth is hard to find.... , nice to watch, although I would have liked a completely different story seen through the lack of chemistry
